1. What is an ISBN and how do I find it? [top]
An ISBN is a ten digit International Standard Book Number used to identify individual books. They may contain zeros or end in an “X”. Please enter all ten digits without the dashes. It will be found on the back cover of the book near the bar code or in the front of the book on the copyright page. Unfortunately we cannot purchase books that do not have ISBN numbers.
2. What if there is more than one ISBN number on my book? [top]
Some books list a 10 digit ISBN as well as a 13 digit ISBN, please only use the 10 digit ISBN. In addition, some books list multiple ISBNs if they came with supplemental materials, are part of a series, or are a teacher/instructor edition. Please use the appropriate ISBN (i.e. the ISBN for the individual book, not the whole series; or if it is a teacher’s edition use the corresponding ISBN not the student edition). If you are unable to tell from the back cover, the title page or copyright page at the front of the book will specify. Using the incorrect ISBN may result in a reduced payment or no payment once we receive the book. Before you complete the sale, please double-check the title, author, edition, and ISBN to ensure you have entered the correct number.
3. Will you accept a book in any condition? [top]
No. We cannot accept books that are torn, missing pages or covers, water damaged, or that contain excessive amounts of highlighting or underlining. Workbooks, study guides, lab manuals, etc. must be clean and complete without the answers filled in.
4. Do I have to send the CD/software that came with the book? [top]
Yes. If a book includes a CD, software, or other supplement, the price we are offering includes this additional material. You must include the CD or software in order to receive the quoted price.
5. What if I am missing the CD, software, or other material that came with the book? [top]
If you are missing the CD, software, or other material that originally came with the book we will be unable to give you the full amount quoted. If you choose to send the book anyway, we will pay an amount that reflects the reduced value of the book. However, we are unable to return any book that you send to us.
6. Do you accept international editions? [top]
No, we are unable to accept international editions.
7. Do you accept books from outside the United States? [top]
No, we are only able to receive books mailed from within the Untied States.
8. Who pays for shipping? [top]
We do. When you complete your order simply print the mailing label and fix to the outside of your package then drop it in the mail. We’ll take care of the rest.
9. Are my books insured during shipping? [top]
No. Our prepaid shipping label is for the USPS media mail only. This does not allow for insurance or delivery confirmation. If you desire these services you must pay for them at your own expense plus the shipping expense. We are not responsible for any package lost or damaged during shipment.
10. How do you determine the price you will pay for my book? [top]
We monitor the nationwide supply and demand in the book market in and continually update our reference databases in order to provide you with the best possible price.
11. Will I always receive the full amount quoted? [top]
No. We will price the books based on their received condition. If the books are excessively worn, highlighted, damaged, missing software, etc. we will re-price them based on their actual condition.
12. How long do I have to ship my books? [top]
Please package and ship your books as soon as possible. The sooner we receive your books the sooner we can pay you. If after five days have passed we require that you re-price your books through our website. We process all payments as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to ensure you get paid as soon as possible.
13. How soon will I get paid? [top]
We will process your payment within 24 hours of receiving your package. Please allow the U.S. Postal Service 4-14 days to deliver your package to our warehouse
14. How will you pay me? [top]
We will either mail you check or pay you through PayPal. You decide at the time of checkout how you want to get paid.
15. Will you return my books if I change my mind or if they are of no value? [top]
Although we strive to serve each customer with the highest level of customer service possible, we are unable to return any books under any circumstances. If your book is received in poor condition will re-price it based on its reduced value. If it is received in unacceptable condition we will not be able to pay you for it and will discard it. However, we will always pay you the highest possible price for the book based on its received condition.
